The Songs of Christmas: Day 13

Every day ’til Christmas, we’re sharing a story from your family at FN. Would you rather get them straight to your inbox? Click here and choose “The Songs of Christmas: (Daily Emails Dec 2015).”

Mary’s Song

Today we have our second song recorded in Luke 1 as part of the Christmas story: Mary’s song. She praises God for choosing her, and for his faithfulness to her and to Israel. This takes place after Elizabeth greets Mary, saying “blessed are you among women.” Inés will be speaking about this passage this morning at church.

Today’s reading is by Katrina Curruth, you can play it below.

KatrinaKatrina Curruth is a graduate student at UALR, working on her master’s degree in Higher Ed Student Affairs. She was born on the 4th of July, and has been at FN since ‘Uncle Harold’ came here. She loves to play the drums (she learned from Kathy Hale and Pat Lindsey) and she loves Good Eats – she served as the coordinator for our summer program for a couple of years.
