Fellowship North is fully invested in mission work, supporting organizations in our immediate community and all across the globe. We serve with local missions, take mission trips, and financially support missionaries around the world. Lessons for Life’s mission is to inform, equip, and challenge young people with a message of truth, motivation them to embrace higher standards and make positive life choices. Alexis Ware uses Lessons for Life here in central Arkansas as a practical life guide to help teens and families navigate the teen years while also pointing towards Christ as the direct truth. She does this through motivational speaking, school partnerships, mentoring through basketball, Real Talk with Alexis, and Resources for Life.

Amboy Community Food Pantry helps provide food for over 1000 people every month. The pantry is a collaboration between Arkansas Food Bank and Amboy Baptist, First General Baptist, 47th Street Baptist, Liberty Fellowship, Levy United Methodist, Lighthouse Christian, Levy Baptist, and Fellowship North. Our support helps stock the pantry’s shelves.

Caring Hearts Pregnancy Center is helping women and their families to find Godly solutions in times of personal crisis. The offer services for free: pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, medical and educational referrals, information and counseling (including support for post-abortion trauma), and adoption referrals. Their goal is to save the lives of unborn children while providing support any way they can.

The C.A.L.L. asks Christ-followers to close that gap, remembering that Jesus asked us to care for orphans. It’s their goal that no child in need of foster care would have to wait for a family once they are separated from their own. Working with DHS, The C.A.L.L. helps people get involved at all levels of foster care and adoption.

It’s a place to get away and rappel, zip-line, hike, visit Boxley Cave, float on the Buffalo River, roast marshmallows, or just hang out at the point with your friends. Students and adults, trip after trip, say that at this place, they heard God. We help keep the camp running so that more people can visit this special place.

Compass helps people learn and apply financial principles through small groups and one on one coaching within churches, ministries, and schools. Their curriculum studies the Bible for wisdom about money and possessions.

James and Patty Walden are part of our church family at FN, and serve with Compass as missionaries in our community.

They partner with foster youth and provide them the professional and emotional support needed for a successful future. Adult coaches help by practicing good habits and connecting with others. Their goal isn’t to fix anyone, but to walk alongside through a difficult time praying that God will fix us all.

The ECC works to create and maintain a developmentally appropriate program environment for learning while equipping and empowering families to participate in and enhance their children’s education. In addition to that, he and his wife Wendy run Ignite Worship, a ministry that equips and encourages worship teams in churches all over Arkansas. The Ignite Worship team also leads area worship and prayer nights.

STEP is a partnership of local churches, including Fellowship North, that extends the hands and feet of Jesus to the inner city and to schools around the Little Rock metro area. STEP provides each of us with the opportunity to make a difference in the life of an at-risk child.

The ministry is carried out through three primary programs:

Mentoring Program – The heart of the ministry; one-on-one with an at-risk child.

After school mentoring with one child
Structured program: bible study, life skills training and recreation.
Relationships that last for years
Time commitment: 1½ hours each week during the school year

Encouragers Program – Outreach into local elementary schools by helping students for an hour a week.

Helping a child at school with their work
Personal attention: meet individually with 2 students
Relationship can last for several years
Time commitment: 1 hour a week (30 min/child) during the school year

Summer Program – The first step into STEP; short-term mentoring in a group setting at the STEP facility.

3 days of positive, biblically-based mentoring during summer break
Structured program: bible study, arts & crafts, recreation, special guests.
Participate with other mentors/mentees; plus a fun field trip on night 3.
Time commitment: 3 early evening hours for 3 consecutive days

Roger Doyne, part of our family here at FN, is the founder and director of the Institute. André Rasamivelona serves in Madagascar with Navigators. In a part of the world where the Gospel is barely known, André meets with small groups of people to discuss life issues and tell them about Jesus. Sometimes he feeds them, sometimes he takes them shopping, but most of all, he loves them. Fellowship North has been involved for many years with Kenya Relief, because the family that founded it used to be a part of our church family here. It’s a wonderful story. Bahati is one of the children growing up in Migori at Kenya Relief and attending the academy there; our elementary students at FN use their offerings to support him. Many of us have gotten to meet and spend time with him during a trip with Kenya Relief – what a joy![/vc_column_text][/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”Brenton and Deborah Witonski: Changing A Generation” tab_id=”1473802424904-c3bc9b46-8176″][vc_column_text]The Witonski family is building a school in Palacaguina, Nicaragua with the hope of bringing change to a generation of Nicaraguan children. They are starting the first bi-lingual Christian School in the city of Palacaguina (three hours north of the capital, Managua). This area of Nicaragua is home to some of the poorest people in Central America. This school has the ability to break the cycle of poverty by providing an education that will open doors of opportunity for children to make a better life for themselves, their family and their community.

Currently, their family has been called to Rome to plant churches, where they will reach out to the many refugees and displaced people who find themselves there.

Ian and Carla Boyd serve with Youth With A Mission (YWAM). They train others in discipleship and evangelism and hope to mobilize the church to action. This is accomplished through bible study, sports ministries, music, performing arts, discipleship schools and mission trips. Currently, they are preparing to move to Taipei, Taiwan along with their daughter Eva to help with discipleship and evangelism ministries already in place there.[/vc_column_text][/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”Jeremy and Amanda Ross: South America Mission” tab_id=”1473802424906-2b98256f-f431″][vc_column_text]Jeremy and Amanda Ross currently live in Peru where they are partnering with a Peruvian lead church plant. Their focus is ministering to children who are at risk in an impoverished are on the outskirts of Arequipa. They share the love of Jesus with children through an after school program and a Saturday discipleship kids club.

They are professional musicians that FN has supported ever since one of our members got to know them while both were at a church in Prague many years ago.

The Boultinghouses are in Kenya for the 8th time – they’ll be staying for a year They are going to build a sustainable farm that will provide fresh food for the orphans that live on the Kenya Relief property. It will also provide valuable training for those children, teaching them skills that are necessary for life in rural Kenya once they are grown.

KR already has land available. Michael and Sandy will organize and fence the property, expand current crops and introduce new ones. Their plans include raising chicken and possibly dairy cows and goats. They will still stay involved with the orphanage, clinic, school, and special needs community, but their main focus for this season will be agriculture and livestock.

They open centers for kids with disabilities, hoping to bring help and life. They use video and other media to share the story of Jesus. Walt and Annie live in Austin, TX and they work to accomplish 3 goals: to praise God, promote mission, and proclaim the Gospel. WGO was established to share the love of Christ in Honduras. They mobilize believers from all over North America to make a difference in the lives of the people of Tegucigalpa and the kids of Rancho Ebenezer, the orphanage through construction and medical teams.

FN supports World Gospel Outreach because we believe in what they are doing and some our members have served with WGO mission teams.

The money that we donate goes to meet many needs in Honduras. It is used to provide free medical, dental, and optical care for the poor of Tegucigalpa. It supports the orphanage at Rancho Ebenezer and the Bridge House where graduates from the orphanage learn life skills and are assimilated into the local community.
