30 Days of Stories: Day 4
I remember vividly sliding into the parking lot of Fellowship North on an icy Christmas Eve 1990. It was the first service in this building, and my first time visiting the church. My younger brother Rob invited our parents and me to join him. I’m so glad we did.
This has been my church home for most of the past 24 years. This is where my journey with Christ became real – not just some list of do’s and don’ts. This church is the hands and feet of Jesus.
Recently, a friend asked my husband Anthony how Fellowship North does so much – how are we so involved in our community and missions around the world. It’s simple – intentionality and purpose. The people of this church are committed to serving others locally and around the world. Our pastors have helped me “get it” that it’s not all about me. Guess what – it’s not all about you either. 🙂
Today’s story was by Stacey Valley.
Stacey is a wife, mother, and public health professional with a horrible sweet tooth. She adores her interracial, real-life modern family, and is thankful that her husband Anthony loves her kind of crazy. Stacey leads story time during 1st service Kid Connection. She and Anthony are going through The CALL training this month and are looking forward to adding to their family soon. Stacey’s life motto is “Live big. Love deep.”
