The elders are beginning the affirmation process, as Tim Rainey explains in this video.

Exploratory Committee

One of our first steps has been to form a group that will explore and determine what our leadership will look like going forward. They are not quite yet a search committee – this is the step before that. There’s a little bit about each person below, and an easy way to contact them as a group!

Rhonda Bentley

Rhonda serves on our adult ministries team, directing our community outreach efforts as well as assisting with women’s fellowship. She is married to Steve and their family has been a part of this church since 1996. She has two adult sons and one daughter-in-law. And loves outdoor adventures!

Taido Chino

Taido is currently serving as our interim pastor. He was previously on the FN staff, 2002-2013, before leaving to pursue his doctorate in theology in Aberdeen, Scotland. He and his family have been back among us for the last year as he pursues a teaching position in theology. He is married to Alison and they have 4 kids, from 13 – 21 years old. He loves the mountains but recently has started loving the beach too!

Katrina Curruth

Katrina works at UALR in the McNair Scholars program, mentoring and assisting undergraduate students. She has been a part of FN since 2006 and has been providing leadership with Camp Good Eats, Race Under Grace, Mobilize, and in working with middle and high school students. You’ve also seen her in our choir and using her voice to share scripture with us on Sunday mornings. She is passionate about unity here at Fellowship North.

Donna Hall

Donna leads our creative arts ministry team here. She has been on staff for almost 20 years and a part of FN for close to 30 years. She has 3 adult sons, 2 daughters-in-law, and 2 grandkids. She loves theater, music, and the visual arts and helping people shine in the ways they are gifted.

Russell Mason

Russell is one of our worship leaders here. He works full-time at Southwest power pool as their Lead Architect. He and his family have been a part of Fellowship North since 2008. He is married to Melia and they have 3 children: Josh, AJ, and Jon. Russell loves the creative process and all types of music. His positive spirit is infectious!

Jim McGee

Jim works at AmGen Biopharmaceutical. He also serves on our elder team here at Fellowship North. He and his wife, Mary, have been at Fellowship North since 2005. They have 3 adult children, a daughter-in-law, two sons-in-law, and one grandson. He is a part of the Men's Fellowship leadership team and is passionate about calling men to walk out their faith in all aspects of their lives. He works as a high school football referee too!

Phil Persson

Phil works at Caterpillar of AR designing and making big digging machines work! He and his wife Kari have been a part of Fellowship North since 2017. He has served with our high school students in the Crossing and as a part of our worship team. Phil has a lot of tools and he knows how to use them.

Tim Rainey

Tim works as an insurance claims adjustor. He also serves on the directional elder team. He and his wife, Ronda, have two sons, Drew and Matt, and have been a part of Fellowship North since 2007. He serves with our elementary students in basecamp, as leader of a KIC team, on our Race under Grace team, and sometimes you’ll even see him singing in the choir!

Barbara Scorza

Barbara serves as our Director of Operations here at Fellowship North. She and her family landed in NLR post hurricane Katrina from NOLA. She came on staff in 2007. She is passionate about empowering single moms to follow God with their whole hearts. In addition to keeping our operations in order here, she leads our Monday night STEP bible study group. She has one adult son, Kenderick, and has raised her 3 grandkids after her son, Kevin, passed away unexpectedly. She loves the Saints – both the football team AND the ones who make up Fellowship North!

Interim pastor Taido Chino updated us on the elders and things to be hopeful about.

March 14, 2019

The exploratory team met for the first time on March 14. This team has been created by the directional elders to explore and make recommendations back to the elders about our pastoral leadership at FN.

This team will be seeking out input from the congregation over the next three weeks on these questions:

What do you want to see in our next pastor/pastors?

How many pastors do we need, in what kind of leadership structure?

What qualities, skills would they need to lead us?

You can contact them as a group using the black button or reach out to any of them individually in person or using the email links by each picture.

Pray for this team as they work together on this stage of the process.
