All I Want For Christmas Is You

I begin listening to Christmas music while I am preparing the Thanksgiving meal every year. I set my radio in the car on B98 right after Thanksgiving because they play it nonstop until Christmas. And I have Pandora set to the Christmas music until that day! That is all I listen to until Christmas. I love all kinds of Christmas music. The spiritual songs that move me and the fun ones that make me smile. So to pick one as my favorite is impossible. But I will say my favorite “bell ringing” song is Mariah Carey’s All I Want For Christmas Is You!Cathy Lamb Santa

Cathy Lamb funny glassesSix years ago my office (Crye-Leike Realtors) began taking a couple of days to ring the bell for the Salvation Army. This is a great charity and I appreciate all that they do to help our local community. So I thought immediately this would be a great opportunity to dress up and act silly! The first two years I dressed as Santa – of course! Who can turn Santa down for a little change? But I also thought, what is Santa, (especially a slim female Santa), unless there is music, so I began taking my Christmas “fun” music and the dancing bell ringer began. I have dressed as Santa twice, Santa’s elf once, Mrs. Claus once, and last year I just wore a funny Christmas outfit with blinking red and green glasses!! As I write I am contemplating my attire for my day of bell ringing this year: December 17. If you have a really great costume let me know. But no matter what I wear, there will be music! There will be Mariah and me singing and dancing. Come join me in the fun! Merry Christmas.

Today’s story is by Cathy Lamb and her favorite “bell ringing” Christmas song is below…

Cathy Lamb jolly elfCathy Lamb has been married to Gary for 42 years and they have 2 daughters, Bekah and Leslie, a wonderful son-in-law Jeff and fantastic grandkids Hayden, Kaylee, and Sawyer. Besides her job at Crye-Leike Realtors, she is also the Head of Hospitality here at Fellowship North – which means that she gets to bring people together, usually in the kitchen, to build relationships and use their gifts to serve each other. She greatly enjoys that and believes it’s pleasing to our Lord. She’s ringing her bell TODAY at the Indian Hills Kroger; stop by and see her!
